Nothing specific was mentioned but I was informed that my LT TGF was cheating me.
Perhaps there is some truth in this  but as I am comfortable with our relationship and (money wise) only give what I can afford,its not a problem.
Been back from LOS for 2 weeks now and,along with the enthusiasm pills not working,memory fazed too!
I would like to know the correct pronounciation and if Thai or Laos?

The word sounded a cross between $dollar$ and ta-lay (sea) and means? a false story used for gain.
BTW
My lady flipped  when I told her and then refused to name the source.

Yes, the transliteration is sufficient..
It must be emphasized that 'Dtoh Lae' can be used safely when spoken by a woman to a man, but it's not appopriate the other way around.
Bullshit is probably a good translation... Dtoh Lae is a more stronger version of 'Go Hok' (You're lying).

You’ve got this one pretty much dead backwards:
Dtor-lae: excessive or patently obvious flattery, an obviously sweetened prevarication, something pinker than a white lie, and thicker than the typical “pak wan” (sweet mouth/talk), and not quite as offensive or accusatory as a “cae tua” -- an outright obvious excuse.
Dtor-lae is definitely far less strong or offensive than go-hok, which refers to an outright lie, and to obvious liars, especially when they’ve been caught in an obvious, outrageous, or trust-breaking lie.
Dtor-lae is typically used to mean Oh you flatterer, Oh you smooth-tongued devil, Oh you big fibber, and other more or less non-confrontational expressions of that sort. As a verb, it is regularly used to describe the sorts of flattery a BG will ladle onto a ripe prospect -- telling an obviously 55-year-old guy that he looks to be about 35, or a water buffalo that he looks like Brad Pitt. Sorry, total Thai linguistic newbie juming in here, but I was always given to understand that the difference betweeb Kee Tua, and Ko Hok is the same meaning, just a regional dialectic difference.
Kee Tua (Isaan) = Ko Hok (Bangkok) = Liar! (ref. 'Faen Ja' from Bird Thongchai)
