Google just included Thai in it's translation services. If you want to read a Thai newspaper, just punch in the url and Google will translate it instantly. As far as the quality of the translation - I have no idea. Here's the link: http://translate.google.com/translate_t#. wj

From what I can tell it appears to work well enough with simple english phrases into Thai. Note that the default personal pronoun is the female/intimate "chan". It doesn't seem to work as well going from Thai into English. For example, the opening line to Da Endorphine's song Parb Luang Dta ภาพลวงตา (title translated as "mirage" -- more accurately "illusion", but close enough) ภาพที่ทำว่ามีเยื้อใย ภาพที่ทำอะไรเพื่อฉัน Was translated as "Images that have made fiber membrane. What image do to me." A more accurate translation would be something like "Ilusions of having loving ties, illusions of doing anything for me..." This confusion stems largely from the fact that the first meaning of the word ใย yai is "fiber" or "thread", but in a more formal sense can mean the loving bond or connection between people. And ภาพ parb does mean "image", but in the context it is clear she means something more akin to a vision or illusion. Songs, like poetry, are of course the hardest because words are chosen for their sounds, not just meanings. Perhaps the site will work better with a newspaper, but someone more adept than me will have to weigh in on that.

"I want to sleep with you" translates as ฉันต้องการนอนกับคุณ So, make sure you replace ฉัน with ผม (since you are male, unless you are a ladyboy)

BK, I have heard/read some conflicting information on whether a man might use ฉัน instead of ผม in intimate conversation, just the way we would use เธอ rather than คุณ for "you" when we want so say something like, I love you - ฉันรักเธอ ("chan rak thuur") E.g., see http://www.thai-language.com/id/131347 and I have seen this in thai translations of movies too. But when I suggested this to a TG once, she did laughed and said oh no, always use "pom". Not sure what to think at this point. So I tend to stick to "pom". Oh, and I could be wrong, but I think the version of "I want to sleep with you" that were given means just that, sleep. Not sure if there is a boom boom connotation or not.
