Actually I dont think a thing about it....I am of the understanding that they dont mean anything derogatory by it. Livin in the USA I am around Mexicans a lot. Many of them are my friends when they refer to me as gringo I am not offended but if someone on the street calls me that I am offended. Gringo IS a derogatory term but coming from a friend it is identical to when a gringo friend calls me beeotch or such. Friendly joking.

I have heard Thai people being referred to as "kon thai" many times but never "khun thai".
