Actually since the critical observation "cheesey" requires a level of abstraction and a dash of irony as well as an appreciation of Western aesthetics I don't think you'll get beyond the descriptions "ugly" or "pretty" or "cute" with Thai language in this case of the object d'art.
Other options might be, say if you were talking about clothes, "style baeb gao", "muen ban nok", "mai nah doo", or the ever popular "over" to describe various aspects of atrocious get-up.
