You don't get me, Ronnie... To transliterate we need another language character set. Could be English, but could be German too. Without the character set how would you transliterate?

I tried to say the word "Phom" for I (me) while in Thailand last Nov and nobody seem to understand that word when I said it. Also how do you say --"Friend" and "girlfriend" in Thai ex. She is my friend and She is my girlfriend

Thanks Skip, I now know where the mistake was made. I said the word Phom with a "Ph" sound but rhyming with Tom, when it should've sound rhyming with Rome.
