I have a strict policy of NEVER bargaining over body price. If a BG asks beforehand, I'll name what I feel is a fair price, if she doesn't like it, I very politely and nicely say "good night," tell her that I don't bargain body price, and that the deal is off. Most of mine, however--I'd say 85-90%--do not ask how much I'm going to give them beforehand. And only once has anyone ever complained that the amount I've given is too little (a handful actually told me it was too much...though a very small handful, heheh).
My rationale is this: I know what I consider a fair price. If they're not happy with that price, then we're not a good match. Whatever amount they want, there's almost certainly another guy out there who will give it to them. And I'm afraid of reduced performance if they should end up (grudgingly) agreeing to my "lowball" (in their eyes) bid after initially rejecting it as too little.
I bargain for the price of objects, or (in the case of tuk tuks) transportation, but not for body price. I think it's undignified on both our parts, especially the BG's.

As a point of reference, if someone "gives too little" then it will likely be pointed out to them by some girls along the way. 
You say you know what you consider a fair price. Obviously the reason you have not been hassled is that this "fair price" is not lower than the expected rate for that girl.

correct. plus I should add that what I consider a fair price may differ from BG to BG (i.e. depending on venue, time of night, etc.

Paid my first 3k bt in Ptty last month. Absolute stunner. I usually give one counteroffer if initial price is not market. I walked a number of times last trip.
1500-2500 for LT. Anymore bargaining will turn the experience bitter.
Many times no preset price--just drop money in purse while she in shower--so she sees it of course. Most of the time, get Thank you and go.
I say sorry too much--get decent counter or walk--I do mention that tip is probable for good service.

I do this often, mostly do it while they are at the purse tho.. make sure they see it
I am fairly generous and have not had anyone complain..
now and then I get a huge smile and "jai dee"
A girl that asks in the bar.. often I will just politely say "paeng mahk".. and wait for a counter offer.. often that happens.. but some will not lower the price.. that is fine
there are many fishies in the sea.. and I have found that as a rule, those will $$ signs in their eyes are less fun in bed
