thinking of the word 'hom'.
i used to have a joke with my girl and she used to say 'hom yi','hom yii','hom ye' or 'hom yee'.
i know what she meant,but any thoughts of what it means?,wether she was talking in thai or laos.
i will leave it to you guys to tell me,no clues.
i only ask because of chompoos last post.
he said 'hom' meant something and i gathered it meant something else.

My guess is that she means "Eat me, you dirty old man!"
I've never heard that before, I'm just speculating based on BK's observation it's actually "hee" and not "yee" which would make more sense.

both of you are well off the mark in my opinion,myself knowing what she was saying.
but of course she might have been talking in the laos dialect,which is a bit different to thai.
or so i'm led to believe.

I know this is a hair off topic, but am curious about your comment: ""Bah" (short for bahsat) is crazy." When I do something outrageous, either in fun or just plain unfathomable (from a Thai viewpoint), my TGF says: "bah bah bah bow." Or words to that effect -- transliteration is fairly close to her pronunciation, though the second of third syllables are inflected with high tone, so I'm not sure they are all reduplication of "bah". Any idea what the literal translation of the whole phrase means? She just says it means "crazy man" but I assume it's some sort of slang?

I'm no expert, I just learn enough to get myself into trouble. In that situation, I don't think I would use "thut" (or doot). I would probably say:
"Gon suay mahk."
Which isn't as colorful as "you have a hot ass" (in fact, it probably sounds downright wimpy to most Thai girls), but at least I get the point across. I think "gon" is more polite than than "doot".
You might try:
"Gon rawn mahk"
Where "rawn" means hot, but usually literal translations like that produce confused looks. She'll probably think her butt is literally on fire.
