as far as words are concerned, I do not speak or read Thai... but having the benefit of a Thai wife I can tell you this..... there are different dialects in different parts of Thailand.....most notably Isaan and "Bangkok Thai".... Isaan is considered by Bangkok Thais to be a gutteral (sp) dialect..... If you speak in Isaan to business people in Bangkok you will be looked down upon. So the bar language most of us have picked up is really the equivilant of speaking like a redneck as we call them in the U.S...... The guys that speak Thai here will be able to help you know the difference.....

@cheapcharlie - Pak Wahn = Sweetmouth, as in you talk sweet. Girls often say after you make some compliment to them @thailife. I would say Isaan is not really a dialect of Thai, it is more its own seperate language and is closer to Lao than Thai. @Blonk. LOL. Who says pom and krup after a sweaty sex session. Do you say Korp Koon Maak Kruuuuup with a big wai also??

==================================================== I do not need your language lessons and I certainly do not think you have a f***ing clue what you are writing either.... ==================================================== Blonk, you're an idiot and you simply have no clue. I don't understand you even try to fight an 29 year veteran with excellent Thai language skills in both speaking, reading and writing. Take my advice and listen to proficient speakers like BK, Joe Wood and myself. A typical conversation between Blonk and his girlfriend: Blonk: 'Pom Mah Song Krang Laew Krap' GF: 'Teenai'

============================ GF - Tenaii ? Blonk - Pom maa song khrang nai jim khun... ============================ As I previously taught you 'mah' is not used in this context. This has nothing do do with basic Thai, it's completely wrong. Yet you continue to use it.... does the word 'lah' means anything to you? ==================== Pom kit khun kwaii pee chai kap ==================== Because you're terrible in Thai, I have no clue what you're hinting at. Is it: Pom Kit Wa Khun Pen Kwai Pee Chai? I think you're the buffalo of my older brother? or Pee Chai, Pom kit wa khun pen Kwai? Older brother, I think you're a buffalo.... Get this one: Jap Kwaei Toh Eng Lae Sai Ti Toot Khun
