The concept of logic has no meaning in Thailand. You give a Thai a million dollars or Euros and the next day he has spent it all. The following week he cannot work out why he hasn't got a million Euros or dollars anymore. They have no concept of future action or necessity. Quite illogical.
Nice generalisation, and so very incorrect. There's plenty of western folks who have that same problem.

One thing that I have learned is that many of the things Thais do are quite logical to a Thai person, and many of the things we do, that seem logical to us, are viewed as very illogical to a Thai.

Maybe the Thai's need to develop a script like Vietnam,, English ( same alphabet) but having symbols above the vowels leaving no doubt as to the sound to be made.
I thought I'd stop using the Thai bar girl L instead of R.
I asked the taxi driver for Wat A-rrr-un.

Ok then Wat A-loon..
No problem he understood the 'L' sound as against the
correct 'R' sound.
Perhaps it is best to listen to both the bar-girls with their street Thai so the taxi driver understands and also the educated Thai so one does not get allegation that one hangs around with bar girls...
