Allow me to butt in: The phrase that Balls is talking about sounds like "Baba Ba Bo" (or something like that.)
I of course am not going to correct Timmerrr but I'm sure that it's an idiomatic variation of "ba" though I do not know it's origin. It is a more playful (and gentle) way of saying crazy and FWIW I've only heard young ladies use it.

Every time my regular TG says "ok we sapeak lao" I usally hear the phrase "bah bah bah bo" I did ask her if that also was lao and she said yes. I'm with MrJoe on the problem of where it comes from though. I dont know that it's lao or not, but that's what she tells me. She does say it's the same for the meaning given here. Like I said, I dont know either but there's a little more info perhaps...

BTW, I went to a beer bar up in chaing mai called ba ba ba bo's beer bar. I got a coozie from there but I guess someone liked it more than me coz it was stolen a while back. It was cool bar nice chicks suckering people out of drinks and or money. Dont think the same ones are there now but maby there are some more nice ones there.

I figured the da da is like ka in Loa. Meaning yes or if a polite stop is even used it is da.
As far as no good no good goes. ... Damn I heard "David Bo Dee, David Bo Dee" from my buddys' Lao girl friend every ten seconds... or another fan fav of hers would be "David Min" although we all know that means the same thing in thai.
I have no point sorry guys. Do it all the time.

yap ting dong is from a chinese dialect which also means crazy.
i heard a shorter version of 'bah bah bor bor' which is just called 'bah bor' in sillyfool's song
the word 'bor' has same meaning with the techow dialect ,i think it a borrow word from there.
bor= mai (in thai)
sabai dee mai = sabai dee bor
