here is a good place to look. I got the book for memory and I learnt the japanese for the days of the week in about 5 mins. I've been trying to learn japanese on and mostly off for about 10 years and the days have never stuck in my mind.

I'm skeptical of the utility of knowing those 100 words, as many of them don't translate easily or are unused in Thai (e.g. 'a, an' or 'the' or 'mine'). Plus those aren't the 100 most common words anywhere I've been. I think "beer" and "girl" have to be in the top 20. Also the grammar of Thai is sufficiently different that just knowing the words leaves a lot to be desired.
A better approach would be to come up with 20 phrases that contained the most popular words. Memorizing those would kill multiple birds with a single stone.

- regardless of the words, and yes, phrases would be more appropriate here, agree it is essential to have some sound, hear the Thai word spoken - as phonetics are so variable - I for example often find it hard to follow various Bros thai phrases they put on the forum ... simply because their phonetics are'nt the same as mine ; e.g. I write my TGs name GUNG ; but often see : KUNG, GOONG, KOUNG ..... -

Well actaully, there is a Thai translation book call. Thai for lovers, you will really laugh your Ass out. It come with words like orgasm, all the name for different position. A good buy indeed.
