Are credit cards safe to use in bars/clubs? Can they be used for barfines? Are they accepted? Anyone ever had a bad experience? Is it just better to use cash? Thanks.

Ive used my c/c at a couple of the bars in Soi Cowboy
and have had no problems,even put the bar fine
on it as well.
Just ask before you start ordering your drinks ect.

about 50% of the cowboy bars, may be 30% NEP and all of the patpong bars do accept credit cards.
in cowboy and nep you will be usually hit with a 5% surcharge whereas in patpong there will be no surcharge. it is completly normal to put barfines on the cards too!
never had a fraud problem with paying with credit cards in all those years here.

Take a lok at your professionalism in this forum! Sticking middle fingers at other people! How pathetic can you be? I hate people who don't respect newbies here. We all were in that position once. Everytime I see a newbie on this site, they always get a bashing on the proper procedures to this site. Welcome to the forum.
I"ve only used my credit card at two establishments; Pegasus and Piano Club. Never had a problems using the c.ct, but for the most part I'd suggest you pay with cash if possible, especially if going to the go go bars.
Besides the worry about card being copied and then used, you also run the risk of the name of the bar showing up on your statement. Not all clubs use a different business name that shows up on your statement.

Actually, I did pay for just the bar fine once. I had run out of cash (well, enough for the poke, but not barfine & poke), and I didn't want to bother stopping by the ATM, so I paid the barfine only on my CC.
