OK, so if I wanted to open up a bar...(I know, there are too many bars, and everyone advises against it.... Just a rhetorical question....), then I just pay you guys 5kBaht... which more than half of it goes for your fee on top of getting the license.... then I get a liquor license that does what? And, for how long?

I always thought it was included in the barfine and st or lt fee you paid. I have never paid a girl a seperate fee for any extras.

Actually I was wrong. I just called one of our lawyers as it’s a Holiday today. The Government fee to sell beer, wine and spirits costs 1,100 baht a year. I was right on his fee. Total is 4,100 Baht. Sure is cheaper than the states, huh? Multiply that # by 1,000 for a license there!
This license expires on December 31 and must be renewed annually. You still have company registration, Personal tax Id, corp. ID and work permits
You will need to bring with you the original and a copy of your ID card or passport, and proof of the restaurant/bar’s address, such as a copy of the house registration papers for the restaurant/bar, or a copy of the rental or lease agreement.
If all supporting documents are in order, your application could take usually no more than a day.
