i started this post due to recent happenings, I have had a account with thai farmers (kasikornbank) for 10 years now for a year I have e banking no problem !,

only recently on logging in the balance was 0.00 baht, uhm.

yes from 500.000 baht to zero in a day, the first time I saw it I was shocked then it came back to normal, now i'm back to zero baht, E mailed the bank and waiting reply to this.

But what happens if khun thaksin changes the law again and does not want fallangs to have accounts, do you get your money back ?

we've already lost our interest which was quite nice on arrival to los.

let you know the reply to this from bank

Mr Alan
I doubt that they will try to take your money away from you, but they may have some computer problems, which could be almost as bad. Maybe you should try another bank.

And they wouldn't be averse to letting one go to the wall; they did before. Although you should be safe enough with Bangkok Bank & Kasikorn why take the risk? And the service sucks. Keep it with one of the foreign banks with branches in Thailand (HSBC, Standard Chartered, Citibank, etc.). Then you also get an International network.
