Will be arriving in BKK in Nov.
Need to know if there are any problems exchanging the new peach/green $20 and $50 bills
I saw from this forum only newer (post 2000) series $100 are accepted.
Also: Is the exchange rate same for all size currency?
ex: will the $100 US bill get you more bahts than the $20 bills?
Only asking cause been to some countries that will give U less for using,say 5 of the $20bills instead of $100 bill, due to the commission and exchange policies at bank and exchange booths for differ. size US bills.

Many times the bank will take bills the money changer will not.

Do youself a big favor and bring American Express travelers checks, in $100 or $500 notes. They get better exchange rates than cash. After the TC fees, you get about the same rate as cash, and are protected from theft or loss.
If you must bring cash, bring post year 2000 $100 bills as noted in other threads.

Thanks, wont bring too many $20 bills anyway, but do the $50 and $100bills get the same rates?

answer posted was $20 lower exchange than 50 and 100bills, but didnt say rates are same for both 50-100, so just wanted a clarification.
But from your answer, I guess they have same rates.

Hang in there phantom t, some of these guys don't always remember what it's like when you've never been to LOS, and you're trying to figure it out ahead of time. Can't be done -- that's why they have no patience with you.
Once you've been there (which you will probably refer to as "here" even when you're not) it will all make sense, and even more so after you endure the trip home. And endure the month after that, and so on, but I'm getting ahead of the story....
When will you arrive? I'm through the looking glass and touching down Nov 11.

BTW, if the rate is 41b/1usd, you'll get 38.5 -39 at your hotel on $100 bills, and closer to 40 at the bank or money exchange, and somewhere in between at the airport.
But don't think too much. A 1 baht diff in exchange is 100 baht diff on a 100 bill or $2.50. I only sweat the rate if I'm doing a thousand dollars as that represents a $25 difference per 1 baht swing.
Rule 1 in BKK -- relax! You can't imagine the adventures the city will take you on.
