First time post,
After serious consideration I am planning to marry my Thai Girlfriend in April. I have been seeing her for a little over 1.5 years now. I need advice on getting a Fiancee Visa. A friend mentioned mythaifiancee.com.; anyone use this company First for there services? If so, how was it? Any recommendations on other Agencies and what are there rates. Please advise if you can help out other than "don't do it!"
I appreciate any advice and/or help. Please PM me.

First maybe it's interesting where you do want to export her to? Looking at your profile, I assume San Francisco...

If you met her through a dating agency, through the net or she's just a sweet girl filling her days at the office, that would change it...

General advice irrespective of what country you are trying to get your TG into (based on personal experience)
Consider your course - We took the fiancee visa route getting the wife to Oz and I would not recommend it. Better to marry and then apply for a spouse visa since that is what you will be doing anyway once you marry her - same paperwork, same forms and another large donation to the Government.
Do you need an agency? - My wife was able to read and write English and lived in BKK with family, had this not been the case I would have considered using a visa agency. The time and travel cost saving would have made their cost worth it.

For someone based in the US a Fiancee Visa is the best route. It transitions into residency visa (Green Card). Allowing the Fiancee to get Social Security Card and work permit immediately on entry, as soon as you apply.
Unless you have money to burn, you can do all the paperwork yourself. I believe the link BK kindly attached will send you in the right direction. Sites: 1. Visajourney 2. Thai/Falang Forum.
The BTF board is good source of background information also. The failure rate of these marriages is very high. If I was a betting man, I'd be betting against you.

And how! I just saw a statistic from the US somewhere's that said something to the effect of 'only 25% of American's are united as couples' these days the rest are all singles. That's a lot of singles!

Thank you, for all those who replied. The links were helpful. I'm thinking I will choose the Visa agency route.
Its just picking one out now.
I am from the U.S., Bay Area. I met my gal at a hotel; she was the receptionist. She spoke conversational English fairly well which got my attention. It started with emails and now marriage. Hmmm... is she a prostitute? As far as I can tell she has never done that. She has always worked in sales, clerical type jobs, and did some small modeling jobs in BKK in here early twenties. Now, she is working in a sales positition in a mid/high end spa (legit one). She is also helping out with some export business I am doing in Thailand. Unfortunately, she has no University degree. Everything checks out and I am pretty good at weeding out any descrepencies.
I know about the statistics going into this; boy, do I know. I am will to accept the odds. I well keep you guys posted on my progress. Thanks much,
