I do not get SS, but according to US tax law, you generally get a tax credit on your US taxes for any taxes paid to host countries while living overseas. This information has been posted previously, but you can google the subject to get more up-to-date and authoritative information.

I am drawing SS payments now. I pay my US income taxes in the US [which work out to zero because my income is small and have exemptions for wife and child]. No Thai tax on income not earned here so no worry there. Plus any income we draw here, say for teaching English or from a company, has an 80K$ overseas US tax exemption. You pay no tax until that limit and even if you earn 100K$ you would pay tax on 20K$ which is miniscule.
