Minder,,,, don't worry about the 27.8,,,,,, Aus dollar weakening because we haven't increased intertest rates. Latest employment news with highest employment rate for some 20 years will mean a 0.25 / 0.5 % increase in interest rates very soon,, should see AUD$ back around 29/30 BHT.
I'm waiting for that before making final payments on land purchased.

Minder...dont worry......Barrafish worried,..well a little bit. When I moved over here from Sydney last Aug, I was getting around the 30-31B to $AUD. Now through my credit union visa card it is around 26.6.
It may be time for me to open up an account with a Thai Bank, already made some enquiries re same. In the meantime...I am still loving it here, foods cheap, girls cheap, transport cheap, clothes cheap, living here is cheap,...I'm cheap.
BTW Mel Gibbo, when is the next round of talks with the Reserve Bank ???

Well the $US is going south BADLY against the Baht,, now down to 37.79,,,,,
Get your money over to Thailand fast as its likely to get a LOT worse. In fact 34 - 35 is being spoken about already.
Overall it is a strengthening of the BAHT rather than a large weaking of the US$ but is likely to continue for some forseable time.
Maybe the P4P gals will need to start paying us?????

shame I had no money when it was 90+ to the £,
also are we getting interest on our money in los now as I heard the news in a restaurant that all will receive,
and on opening a new account with SCB siam commercial bank I was told i'd get 3.25 %.
thai millitary are ofering 5%,
anyone else heard about this

While I was in LOS my call on Aus interest rates came true,,,, maybe I should be an economist LOL.
Exchange rate went straight up to 29.3. Nice timing.
