Mr Pink - All of them were stand alone kiosks........one in Pattaya and the other at the MBK!!!

Likewise, many years and no problems, I only use ATMs, mostly a local bank card, Siam Com. - somtimes overseas card/Visa, - also find transfer is easy/handy, can transfer from your account to any other thai bank account at the ATM 7 days a week - which sadly the in-laws now no about so I cant use the excuse the bank is closed when they dont have enuff for some more "Sat-oh"

The banks are usually straight forward about it. All it takes is a manual count of the machine (which happens anyway). Overcount + complaint = a credit for you, no problem.
Can't really vouch for ATM policy though as I've never made any withdrawals from my bank accounts.

I had one bad experience at the ATM by the bank in the arrivals hall in Hong Kong Airport.
The machine kept my card, didn't give me any money but debited my account for 2500 HK$.
That was on Sunday. The bank was closed so I had to go to the airport again on Monday.
The bank returned my card and I had to fill a claim form for the deducted cash. it took 4 months to get the credit into my account. The bastards
