Marketing is simple. Word of mouth, or pass it by mouth. 
Actually, 3 years ago, when I was still job hunting here in BKK, one of the bar girls wanted me to teach her conversational english, unfortunately, I didn't have the proper classroom facilities. Now, I'd rather teach them how to play pool!

There are many, many schools in Bangkok and most of them are suffering.
By the way, I think it's not so easy to open a school legally as there seems to be a law that requires a special license from the Ministery of Education.

- if / when you are ever in a position where a "donation" appears to be required, go along to the local office, armed with a bottle of Johnny black, and ask for the big boss. Give him the Johnny, and tell him you want to donate. Once you deal with him, then if any minows etc. come in, as the will, and expect money/free drinks etc, just mention or call up their boss - end of worries .... damm I should be charging for this advice !!!

Actually I'd like to help the girls out anyway I can. If learning English can help them get closer to their dreams, great. If it simply helps them to make more money because they can communicate better, wonderful.
