You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you are wrong. The BGs know that both exist and they know how to deal with them. Some don't mind the CC's and others do.
It all kind of works out in the end.
The one type of guy that does do damage is the guy who takes a girl and then either doesn't pay or pays an insulting amount like B200 or so .. these guys really piss the girls off and they talk to each other about it. It is one of the reason that there is much more negotiations in the bar about "how much you gib me" than there was 10+ years ago. When I first went to Thailand in 1987 the "tip" was never discussed and the guys I knew never discussed it either. Over the years it has become more of an issue and I think it is due to guys not paying and then saying "oh I thought the barfine was all I had to pay" .. there are guys that pull that shit ..
I remember once in Jack's Shadow bar, a German guy took two girls to the short time room. Paid the B300 fee for the room and then when finished gave each girl B100 as a "tip".. the girls were furious .. Jack kicked the guy out of the bar and then walked out and told the tuktuk drivers to take this guy to the hotel and on the way to beat his ass and rob him .. they did... and they brought back some of the money to the girls (much to my amazement) ..

I've found that 500 s/t, 1000 l/t works just as well in BKK as it does in Pattaya. So far none of the honey's in Soi Cowboy have laughed in my face or turned me down. You guys who want to pay $50USD for a s/t or nearly $100USD for l/t go for it.
What do you think the girls call you when they speak to each other in Thai? If you think: him hansum man, sexy man, make me cum all night are you in for a surprize.
The question I ask myself: if the girls are not happy with how I treat them and or pay them. Why are they MORE then willing to go with me the next time they see me. Why are they happy to see me?
How does a cheap charley hurt you more then a big spender? Big spender hurts me and others because the girls want more money.
If you ask a car salesman how much he wants for his new car. He will want the max he can get. As a buyer I want to pay the least amount of money. Ms Pen who works at the Kanagroo Bar pointed a customer out to me; all the girls like him, he pay 2500 s/t. Playfully I gasped, I guess you don't like me as I only pay 1000. O no, I like you 1000 ok. I guess I should be paying her more even though she's happy with what I pay.

Ms Pen has a great sense of humor and her command of english is very high. She lived with a English guy for a few years. I don't think she was trying to save face. She was up front as far as letting me know what she liked and didn't like Not your usual Lao b/g. Well said brother Cal. And don't we know how much saving face means in LOS. Also what if the face she was trying to save wasn't her's, but yours. I have no doubt that Ms. Pen is very fond of you Big D and cares enough not to say something that might hurt a long time friends feelings which is why I say that it's probably not a good idea to look up some of those words they say in Thai  . Even so I think they are in somewhat of a minority so it stands to reason that for every big spender in LOS that has a few ladies drooling over the prospect of a big windfall there are dozens of guys in the process of pissing off quite a few ladies in bars and MP's and earning the coveted title of Cheap Charlie and if that last guy happens to be a black man like myself then if I were to walk into the bar he just left something tells me that the ladies are going to put that same brand on me as well without even bothering to get to know me first. To me that is definitely more harmful. Peace

IMHO, a cheap charlie and I'll describe myself watches how I spend my money. I play the bar games with the girls and I tell them up front. I'm willing to buy 5 lady drinks during the course of the game. If I win they have to buy me a beer. Usally I can play the game for well over an hour before I go thru my 5 drinks. During this time I'm chatting up the girls and having a good time At the end of the games I pick the girl I want to b/f. I take the girl out on a date, dinner, movie, starbucks and I show her a good time. I don't take her shopping but we do walk around MBK talking and laughing. As a cheap charley I don't rip the girls off. Guys who do that are just a low life. Have fun with the girls treat them with respect and when you go back to the bar, you will see how happy they are to see you and how willing they are to go with you again. If I was getting a different reaction from the girls, I would increase what I pay for play.

I agree and there one girl I have given more money to, BK knows her, Noi who mute and shoots a good game of pool. I've always paid her better then the other girls as she has a tough go in Thailand. She hangs out at the Bamboo Bar, BKK. IMHO being a cheap charly doesn't mean one is hard hearted or mean. I'm just cheap.

I think Cmore has an accurate assessment of the average what the girls want in BKK. 1500 for LT seems to be very standard from my experience. If I really think the girl was good or like her, again, I would throw in an extra 500 baht. $50. No where near $100. 6-8 hours of fun for $50 is a bargin in my book anyway.
I think short time is where thing should vary a lot more. ST can be 20 minutes or it can be 3 hours. And prices could, and should vary along with that. 1000 baht for a 20 minute ST is wayyyyyyyyy outta line if you can get 8 hours for 1500!
Anyway, I wasn't flaming anyone. More power to the guy that gets a LT for 1000 and if everyone is happy with that than I think it's great. I'm just saying I can't complain about 1500 baht for a good time. Seems the bargain of the century for me...
But hell, everything in NY costs way too much so maybe i'm just used to it!

How much you pay for ST really does depend on what you get..
Met a gal recently (thru Bkkchat) and she quoted B2500 for ST and said she would get me off 3-5 times.
Being an old fart, I knew that was not going to happen.
I called her and told her that B2500 was too much, but if she spent enough time with me I would be wiling to go B2000, but would pay less if she didn't take good care of me...
She took very good care of me.. got me off twice much quicker than I usually do.. also, very horny.. she was after me to eat her and it appears that she came a bunch of times ..
I gave her an extra B100 for a taxi and I think we were both satisfied.. total time spent about 2.5 hours and she would have stayed longer, but I had to get home to the tilac ..
I plan to see her again on my next trip.
