hey all,
I am in LA and the it took about 7 months total from filing to arrival for my wife...be sure to include pics of you with her and her family I have been told by an extremly reliable source that the agents tend to place alot of focus on the pics you provide..
I am kinda pissed because I included several of my parents with her parents in their town up near chang mai and never got them back...even though I included a self addressed and stamped envelope.
you really dont need an attorney and in fact sometimes on what should be a pretty straightforward K-1 an attorney filed application draws red flags to some INS agents. they cant turn it down on speculation but may ask you for additional documents which takes time.

Go to "No lo Press" in Berkley Ca.
Get there law book on K1 visas..
Law book written on marriage visa for non lawyers; it has all the forms.. Really easy to do the papaer work urself and easy to understand + u will save a fortune..
Better yet marry her in Thailand, it will take a little longer to get the visa and the marriage will not be under the jurisdiction of the u s..
