To clarify, First I want this to be a Thai to Thai exchange. Between my wife and her sister. Avoiding farang "tax."

I and my family own a three level structure-one of a four unit structure.

The bottom unit is an open air space-mixed manufacturing or retail.

My wife and I's flat is the top unit.

We currently manufacture a "shrimp chip" style cracker.
We currently sell out all we make and will have immediate expansion upon moving to the new space. We currently make our product out of my sister-in-law's house.

Once we are up and running in the new space we will apply for a license for our products.

The middle flat is a rental--most likely for the workers. Rent will be ducted from paychecks.

I'll simply just carry the cash, declare it and move on. My family will pick up from the airport--and take care of business.
I have three years to retire--I can afford to loose this money and I realize the amount of trust that is needed for this transaction.
Thanks for all the advise.

To bring it in yes but not too take it out there is a limit
on the amount of cash your allowed to take out of thailand its mentioned at the airport 50,00 baht.
To bordering countries like laos its 500,000.
Yes you could try declaring it to the nice customs man good luck with that.

Do you know how often some bars in pattaya change hands every f***in trip there is a new owner brits to brits, aussie to aussie the money stays in thailand though the same as the land.

If I recal when buying property the money has to be proven coming from abroad you cannot just arrive at the airport with 2 miljion baht to buy a condo lol.

Bringing that amount of money into the country to buy property needs to come through a bank as outlayed by other posters not in your baggage,it needs to be proven it came from abroad not from yaba business.

The reason I dont bring much to thailand they wont let me take it out again.

You buy leedy bar or condo and dont have a good lawyer bye bye money welcome to thailand we take care falang money number 1 lol.

Not misinformation because it depends what you intend to use it for and what about the limit in usa or europe to take out 20,00 $ or 20,000 euro ? perhaps other figures but worth the risk ?
Why not book into the nana hotel as well and put the money in the safe and go look for a leedy downstairs
Anyway if you want to buy a condo as a foreignor : proof is required for the cash im not sure if thai customs count as I see bank everywhere on thai vista.
As this is property whether or not you can declare at the customs means jack shit if you cannot legally use it to purchase the property.

If it was only for hookers and beer I would tend to agree with you 63 k US for 2 weeks holiday sounds reasonable and thai customs will wave you through smiling.
