I suppose I could have my 2 pensions sent directly
to Bangkok Bank but I feel more comfortable depositing
in the US.
Also I can not do a wire transfer because my US Bank requires appearing in person to set up a wire transfer and I have not been back to the US in several years.
The 7 day wait is annoying, but not a problem

Wow, who's your bank? I'm able to do any wire transfers via my Bank's online banking. Does your bank not offer online banking?

Yes I am doing this xfer thru online banking.
But it first goes to Bangkok Bank office in NYC and
they take several days to get it to my acct in Thailand.

Sure sounds like someone's benefitting from socialism, to me.
Social Security is as far removed from Socialism as apples are from Apple Computers.
Social Security is a forced savings account. Its benefits by design are a return during retirement of a portion of the funds involuntarily paid into the system during one's earning years.
However it is true that the socialists in the US are trying to turn what was a savings system into a socialist system, as with everyone else's money that they can get their scummy hands on.
