If you would like to have sex once in while, pay no more than 5K for housing, eating only few times outside your place and taking the bus as much as you can, the answer might be YES. 25K is not that bad for normal Thai salary. Some people live upon 9-10K/month. Some others get much less than that.
However, if you are on the prowl looking forward to:
- hit many new bars/GG-bars/Clubs;
- pay for TGs and bf quite often;
- buy lady drinks;
- hit MPs every weekend;
- see the regulars at the favorite bars/clubs;
- attend RT with the brothers....
.......the answer is FOR GOD SAKE FORGET IT....!!!! My personal living expenditures are in average 50K/month (housing, food and beverages, short-trips, transportation and, of course, f_ckING).
I can make it with 25K but should remember first how to CHAK-WA very often....I think.

Hey I think 25k in bkk is more than reasonalble.. i myself follow the system a friend and I developed for LOS... I call it the 'Bob and Weave' or 'Stick and Move' style...
It entails laying low for a few days in the week.. chasing cheap fun or just resting... taking buses, not over consuming, see legit girlfrends that dont cost too much or in my cause some workin girls that actually pay your way (this is not the norm for everyone in LOS and I had to work at it) Ok so you lay low for a few days and then Bam! hit it hard (but again still somewhat controled) and have a big night out clubbin or at MP or where ever... take some taxis get the specialty coffee at coffeeworld.. whatever; buy some clothes, a bottle of scotch at your fav club, or really treat your no. 1 girl.
I ended up on a somewhat rough schedule of 2-4 days low and then 1-2 hardcore days... works really well for me and I get to have my cake and eat it too!

I went to the local strip club last night just to have a night out. To my surprise there was a Thai girl working there. She probably would be about a 5 or 6 in Thailand, but out here in the hinterlands she immediately became an 8. So I dropped about $250 on lap dances. No sex, just a bit of a fantasy. 25000 thats nearly 1000 a day, our girls get far less, and manage a life many others would like to share, this discussion seems to be kind of decadent. I'm thankful and look forward to every day lived in thai. and I work hard everyday in LOS just to livel! man. I don't see decadence in this thread. I wish I could always ATM my way, damn that would be great, but even if i could i would probably spred the love, i wish i could spred the love now more...
