question... what if you dont have a tefl cert. but you have N.A. business degree and alot of charisma is it possible to score a teaching job in bkk??

Ah.... it completely slipped my mind that the RT was tonight. Was actually thinking about going.
And Ajarn Tom, nothing wrong at ALL with teaching English. Well, nothing except for the salary. 
Yes, one can be quite comfortable with that. However, often it's a level of comfort that is just treading water. It's difficult to save anything at that income level. Also, that income level doens't allow you to swim with the whales (pretty much no VIP memberships anywhere). No cars, no high rise condos. Bangkok at street level is pretty darn ugly (JUST my opinion)  To enjoy this place, you have to be able to afford the more expensive air.

About fake tefl certs, does it really work? is it believable? I though about getting one made on koh san before. Anyone with feedback info on that??

this country is built on certificates, and it s world famous to export certificates of any kind, ranging from press ids to passports. All you have to do is get some european, i think best would be french or british certificate as a sample, and copy whatever you ant to certify into it. Put it in a nice frame, close your eyes and imagine the office your customers would like to see, make this vision come true and your in the biz, everything from that point is to your luck and ability

AJARN TOM: Sorry man, I didn't mean to insult you. Yes, English teaching is an excellent opportunity for me, but I was wondering if it was the ONLY opportunity for me. I was planning to take an English teaching course to get my certificate to teach. Do you know what the starting salaries are? Also, I have a diploma in web design (making web pages). Do you need to speak Thai to become a web designer? Which one pays better? Would you recommend me getting a fake certificate at MBK or a genuine one by taking the teaching course. Thanks guys!
