Very good post Chompoo. Quite accurate I'd say; definitely about stage 3.
I always like these defenses:
"This is a board for losers." (Says the guy who is typing on this board).
"I don't take anything seriously on a board about prostitution." (Says the guy who triews to get people to take him seriously -- on this board.)
Both of these were favorite themes of BigOne. And then when there is no way to defend the position we have what I like to call The Nokna Defense:
"I was joking and I am amused that people take it seriouisly." (Again from the guy who tries quite hard to get people to take him seriously.)
Loved the bit about his scientific methods. Quite funny. I guess that was more of the part where he was just saying some bullshit to get people's attention or trying to be funny?
I'll save you the trouble MX; with my number of pposts I'm the biggest loser of all. And I "...doth protest too much.." indeed.

Let's see MX. You spent 90% of your post in a personal attack against me and my characterization of you as an idiot and an asshole. Only 10% of your post was spent on countering the claims I made against you.
You seem to think it is my intent to ridicule you in new and creative ways. That's not my job, Sauron filled that role well before I got here. My job is to lay out for you in excruciatingly obvious detail why you are such an idiot and an asshole, which I have done. What is the point in coming up with new terms when I've found two that sum up your character so succinctly?
Seriously, what would be the point of sending a PM to an idiotic asshole? That would only waste my time. I post in public for two reasons. One, I want everyone else to be absolutely clear of your nature; I really don't expect an asshole, let alone an idiotic one, to admit that to himself. Two, I give a chance for intelligent people to question my analysis; again I can't expect you to defend yourself adequately.
You may have been too dense to notice that I do not make wild personal attacks against people. I use only the facts in evidence, that is what you've said about yourself and the incredibly inane way you've presented yourself. I see that the bulk of your criticism against me is that apparently I've made too many posts on this board and that that somehow is meaningful to you.
But I do admire that you managed to eke out a response to one of the eight or so criticisms I had regarding your intelligence and character. We can just stick to arguing this one if that is easier for you (I made the same offer to others, so I think it's fair).
So let's see, your argument is that these "studies" allow you to make broad generalizations? No one has doubted that there is a statistically significant number of bargirls who are willing to cheat an overseas sponsor. And you will definitely have no problem finding lots of people here who will agree that blindly sending money to a bargirl is foolish. However, no "scientist" would make the gross generalizations and condemnations that you have made. The fact that even 90% of the girls are lying, thieving whores as you suggest, does not invalidate the fact that there are 10% honest girls and that some guys have made it work.
Statistically, BG marriages tend to fail. That certainly does not give you the right to come in here and start haranguing those who have done so successfully.
You know statistically, 70% of all farang residing in Thailand are losers who couldn't make it with attractive women in their own country. So, by your logic, I can conclude that you are such a loser. This is no less valid than your wild, untargeted accusation that you were sleeping with "my" girl while I'm sending her money.
It does really bug me when people try to pass crap like you've done as real science. You tarnish all the good behavioral scientists who carefully choose their words and avoid such gross errors.

Now we agree, where before you accused me of "overgeneralizing" and yet now you agree with those exact statements...make up your mind...one post you agree with the same point...the next post you do not. I need a scorecard to keep up with you changing your mind from one post to the next.
Statistical significance allows me to generalize from the sample to the population in question, my friend. ðIn dealing with human behavior, there are no absolutes and exceptions to every rule exist. I just alerted whoever that this is a relevant method of deduction. ðYou are master at putting words in my mouth and twisting my statements around.

Chompoo ain't MY leader and I seriously doubt that anyone here feels so lacking in self-esteem that they have deemed himor any other member of the board as such. Why are you participating if you insist on insulting the whole board with such an assertion? And this board is indeed not a noble calling or of any great significance in the grand scheme of things -- but why are you here?
As you have never actually responded to any of my points other than to cast more unpleasantness about -- and actually I'm quite grateful for the lack of dialogue (or abuse exchange) with you -- I don't expect you to respond to this one. I'd just as soon have you continue to ignore me if you can't respond reasonably and rationally...
Though I would still like to know how you can justify the comment about 90% (or whatever your scientific data was) of Thai parents teaching thier kids to be successful prostitutes. Or do you care to retract?

There was a good discussion going on here and then it went to hell.
Guys were talking about how much they gave to women and why and then we get told that we are all fools for doing so because someone else who knows nothing about any of our given situations has had different experiences?
Wouldn't that be sort of like someone coming in during a discussion of having sex with Bar, MP or GG girls and telling everyone that having sex with a girl from one of those places could get one infected with an STD? ðDuh!
Or, to put it in perspective for MX, did you know you shouldn't play Hockey because you might get injured?  ðOr, Behavioral Scientists shouldn't do studies amongst Cannibals, unless they want to get invited for dinner.
Instead of hijacking an existing thread, how about either posting in an on-going thread or starting a new thread related to untrustworthy women?
On a related subject, this board should have a "Fight Club" section so people could leave the other threads free to carry on more interesting discussions.

Well I AM cute but I am also (getting) old at 40, just starting to get thin on top (going to shave my head in a year or 2) and I'm about 5lb.s over my ideal weight (but I'm getting back into the perfect condition I once had --OK maybe not as perfect as I once was, cuz I'm old!).
What does this have to do with anything? You're right; nothing at all. But I welcome the chance to contribute something to this thread other than my previous gripes. 
The people who are always talking about fat old slob falangs bore and offend me so much with their bigotry and elitist judgmentalism...whoops there I go again...
