I have a friend that is sponsoring a girl that had a night job and was making lots of money (no, she did not rent her body). He is putting her through the university. But he has no illusions. He believes on doing something good and helping her get a better life. He says that she is giving him some very good years of her life, but also that he is helping her move away from the night job stigma, and by doing so and also by helping her get an education, she would be able later to get a better husband than she would otherwise found, had she stayed working at night. His reasoning and his courage/coolness to discuss this things openly with her impresses me.
Miss this post by smegma, I think his friend's approach is a much more mature and realistic method to this sponsor issue.

Interesting that you would catch this post now. You met this guy once and you liked the advice he gave you (he is not a forum member).
As to his actual situation, he ended up liking her way too much, becoming posessive, she becoming a bitch and at the end he felt he was played by a money grabbing digger. He gave you the advice he gave you after this relationship with her had ended (remember him?)
Anyway, he seems this time more determined to not being so nice with his latest target (yes, another dancer - again)

Well, so much for trying to impose a neat'n'tidy time-limited contract with all bases covered. Real life being what it is, I suspect this design-a-relationship approach is liable to come messily unstuck practically anywhere, and almost certain to do so in LOS. When will people realise that TGs just won't be bound by business contracts of this kind? They may well agree to them, of course, but that means squat.
Love, loyalty, trust & stuff can't be bought. If you can't be bothered obtaining these things the hard way (ie, by making some effort to warrant them), best to be content with the high-quality facsimiles which ARE for sale. This saves mightily on unnecessary angst and PI fees.
