Australia is for wealth per head, infact the richest. It had a 9 billion surplus last budget. Only has 20 million people. Golden beaches, rainforests, and unlike american cities, fear and death are not too common factors. Sydney was voted by travel new york readers 4th time running as most desirable destination in the world....obviously thats where I get off! Thailand (any city) would be my choice.....but thats my balls talking again. Sure bush is trying to deliberatlely weaken the US dollar, so the debt can be easiler cleared, and economies like japan loosing faith, along with other investors dumping the green back. On average say you take $3500 to los in 2002 and your an aussie you got 75,000 baht, Today that gets you 112,000 thats 37,000 extra baht! A few super babies, beers and meals, and a weeks accomadation.......well done george!

I guess you gotta give the TGs credit for keeping track of the foreign exchange rates of dozens of countries on a daily basis. I am sorry to hear that the amount of welcome you have received from the BGs is correlated with your country's currency exchange rate because personally I have never experienced any difference.
I wouldn't call the Canadians poor cousins of America. The few Canadians I know sure wouldn't care about a little fluctuation of the Canadian dollar.

Canuck buck doesn't buy any more today than it did 6 months ago unless you go to the USA.
In Canadian dollars I now get one and one-twelfth more short time per dollar at King Kong. In real terms, I still get an hour and not 65 minutes.
It's not going up, the US buck is going down and has not yet reached bottom. Tough on the Yanks but not on anyone else.

....or to Thailand, when I was there last November I was getting 2800 Baht for 100 CAD, now it is worth 3300 a gain of 500 Baht per 100 CAD.
At the rate of 500 s/t 1000 l/t it buys 10 more s/t's today or 5 l/t's

In Norway we set aside money we do not spend from the oil in what's called an oil fund.
Currently it is about 1380000 Baht per citizen.
