Good feedback about electrical spikes, have to remember that if I spend a lot of time incountry this year. Don't want to blow out my laptop. Also good info about the utility meter scams/farang markups.
BTW, one reason my TGF's utility bill is so low is her apartment has no aircon. She considers it a needless extravagance and uses floor fans. This is also a lady who, when the temp drops into the low 80's (F) gets goose bumps and shivers like a wet puppy dog left out too long in the rain, and wraps up at night in comforters designed by Eskimos for use in northern Alaska. I guess it's all relative.
