don5252, could you name these firms so I can make sure I NEVER let them have any of my money,,,, talk about shutting the gate after the horse has bolted
I suggested on here about 9 months or more ago, that people who live in Thailand really should have some form of investment there. Well of course I was berated for my lack of wisdom. The laugh is on them now,,ROFLMAO. My bank shares have risen 25% plus add a further REAL dollar ( Australkian ) of another 10% from the Baht firming and I'm sitting on a 35% gain just there. The land I purchased has only gone up around 10% but once again add another 10% for Baht fluctuations and things are looking pretty DARN good.
Any American would add 15% for fluctuation,, AHHH but they didn't like my advice

A little more info on economic MADNESS.
Yesterday both the Australian stock market and the Australian dollar had MAJOR falls,, why,, well analysts blame it on the weak US economy,,,??? WTF, We sell f*** all to America, we sell more to Korea and almost as much to that little island off our coast called ???? ahh ?? oh yeah New Zealand. Japan has been for many years our major export market and China growing RAPIDLY,, so why the worry about the USA ???
Strange people these economists.

Thai Baht Also Rises to 10 year high

Thai baht yesterday rose to Bt34.38 - Bt34.39 against the greenback, the strongest level in 10 years. The rise was attributed to the surge of the regional currencies, thanks to the foreign inflows.
The dealer from Kasikornbank said Thai baht rose to the highest level since the introduction of the foreign exchange in 1997. He said there was large amount of foreign fund flowing into Asian stock markets.
He said the stronger baht is not a big concern as it has moved along with market mechanism with foreign capital flows.
Since early 2007, Thai baht has been stronger by 4.5 per cent, Malaysian ringgit by 4 per cent, Indonesian Rupiah by 3 per cent, and Philippines peso by 8 per cent.
Atchana Waiquamdee, deputy governor of the Bank of Thailand, said that the baht rise was a result of the disappointing economic indicators in the US announced early in the morning. The rise of the baht today came as the Bank of Thailand had expected earlier. Therefore, she said that it's not necessary for the central bank to intervene the market. Besides, there're inflows into the stock market as well.
