now i appreciate the level of discussion i have generated . However i have no intention whatsoever of supporting this girl when i am out of the country. she knows this. We discussed the issue while i was in bangkok. ( not in reference to her) she agrees that these support things are for dumbies. Now i will wait and see if she changes her tune when she is the one at issue.

come ye, if you really want to take her out of thebar it is either a full go or none. what do you expect her to do when you are not staying in bangkok. sure she hasn't got any other chance, then starting to freelance. certainly a thing you won't be happy to see. again it is either a full go on a minimum thb 10-12,000 monthly package or forget about the idea taking anybody oout of the bar. you have to make damn sure she has the chance to cut of all ties to her former job, otherwise you are already lost before you start your "rescue" project!

I understand your dillema completely . I thought Id never move a girl in when I got to BKK but that didnt last for long . I met agirl who is an accountant for a restauraunt and the next thing I know shes living with me . My advantages are my clothes are always washed and pressed , Im not out drinking and spending large sums of money nightly , and she comes from a middle class family so theres no money to send back home for all those sick water buffalo . I take her shopping and pay for part of her sisters schooling . All in all I get away with about 5,000 baht a month plus all our food . She saves me 3 times that a month in bargaining at vendors , a girl in my bed nightly at no cost , and she has helped me make some great contacts in my export business . The downside is occasionally I want a few days alone but this is easily accomplished by telling her I have friends coming into town . She still has her apartment and shes more than happy to let me spend time with friends without being there . If you do get one moved in and cant get her out Ive seen some ingenious tricks to get the most stubborn one out of your apartment just let me know if you need the help . But in my case it was well worth it to have her there .

I find you have managed your affairs very well and are in a winning position as compared the horror stories we read on the other posts.
ye,
I would go with chasingwhtrabitz's style if I was in your shoes. Ofcourse luck would have to play a big part in the scheme of things as you could end up falling for a beautiful face without worrying about the other aspects or the girl might turn out to be different from the first impression she gives you once she settles down into a relation with you.
Brings to mind an old saying:
"When a man and a woman meet, he is thinking "Hope she doesn't change once we are married" and she is thinking "Wait till we get married, I am going to change him".
We may not be talking about marriage here but the same applies to long term relationships.

- chasingwhtrabitz happens to be a buddy who I showed a few nightspots to when he arrived, and I have met the girl, all I can say he is lucky, in that he appears to have "Fluked" a genuine TG who is keen on him, he has meet her family, who are, like her well educated, and in short he has ended up with an ideal relationship [ for now ] - but would have to say, the odds of this happening are about 100/1 - anyway well done to him, and it does help restore a bit of faith in the TGs -

I must add one more thing its like a friend from South Africa told me moving to BKK and moving in a girl is like a kid living in the candy factory and developing diabetes . There is a way to cope with diabetes however and that is Insulin . A night away from her here and there to taste all the sweets is enough for me to get by on . That is my way of living with what he calls my diabetic problem ..............

bigin agreed she is a bar girl not an office girl. eventually that is the kind of girl i would like but where to find one on short notice? I do wish this girl was better educated. furthermore i keep pinning my hopes on the fact that two of my friends hookers, on seperate evenings, commented to me that my girl was the genuine article. ie not a vicious manipulating money grubbing wench. definately has a jealous streak but that comes with the territory.
i need to stop posting at some point. it's killing me that i still have a month plus until LOS. and the stories on this site get me so amped to return
