Of late, I've been using this line with a few of the ladies at Big Dog's and Morning Night (okay, I've known some of them for a while), with my most earnest expression:
"No, I don't go with ladys very much anymore, because everything is getting too expensive. I have to think about my budget to pay for apartment, taxi, you know. I only pay ladies 1000 ST, so I don't think you want to go with me, so that's why I not ask you..."
Suprisingly, this sorry-assed crying routine actually works more times than not, lol! The ladies' usual reply is something like, "Hmmm, 1000 baht okay, but just s/t, okay?" without any negotiating on my part. I hear this kind of thing from the bg's all the time, about how much they have to pay mama upcountry, for torasap, food, etc., so I figured I try the same schtick on them. Seems to workm lol! And keeps the P4P budget under control.

Actually, it wasn't a negotiation. That was the amount of money I had in my pocket, so it was take it or leave it.
I guessed she would have done it for free too....
