One comment that was made regarding taking the girls out and not expecting sex or anything other than a nice evening. When I did that in BKK she did not want money but 1 hour into the evening she was thinking marriage. I was later told by a local that whatever you do with a "nice" girl (read as free girl) that you would just normally do in the US (such as dinner, movie etc) will likely be interprepted as you having great interest in a long term relationship. If you don't keep the money in the picture how do you keep it from getting out of control?

ABC, I'm not going to quibble with what you choose to pay. Parts of it make sense to me and parts are seemingly inconsistent, but if it works for you then who am I to judge?
But I would ask that you also not judge others, solely on what they choose to pay.
