Brother Rajbir you didn't indicate what month your last visit was in. You said that your next visit is in Jan. which is high season in LOS. Prices during high season can often times be a bit higher then during low season. If your last visit was during low season and your budget is the same as last time then you might need to rethink your budget. Peace

Just returned from Thailand and checked my finances, 14 days of fun with TGF.
88000 bt airfare (Thai Airlines from Bahrain, Business
Class)
15000 bt airfare and Hotel (Bangkok to Udon Thani, Thai
Airlines and Napalai Hotel 3 nights)
6000 bt transportation (taxi ride from Pattaya to
Bangkok, 3 round trips)
23000 bt gold necklace for girlfriends birthday (yes, it
was her birthday/3 baht of gold)
12000 bt for a birthday party
21000 bt spend during 3 day visit with parents
(Karaoke, dinner at MK, shopping and cash for mom
and pop).
6000 bt on misc shopping for friends at work.
5000 bt avg per day on misc expences (drinking
(serious bar hopping) and food.
3000 bt plus 700 bt (tip) for soapies (yea, only got free
from the girlfriend twice). Sabai Dee in Pattaya,
1500 baht per session with 350 tip.
I know I spend to much, but I'm seriously stuck on this girl and we're planning on having a baby next year. And yes I do trust her...........
Take your shot, but for me it was money well spend. I've been limited on visits and only make it to Thailand 2 times a year. Oh, I also send her 17000 baht a month.
Also, picked up 4 100mg pills of viagra for 1700 baht and I didn't even use them.

Business class on Gulf from Bahrain to Bangkok cost me 45000 baht......roughly double the economy price
Thai airways is marginally cheaper I thought.
88000 baht is way over the odds!

Thai Airlines charged me 904 BD for the round trip ticket.
Was surprised there was only 5 tourist and 3 tourist in business class, no arabs.
Food was good and tasty, spend most of the flt drinking wine and sleeping.
Yes, I'm not planning on visiting Thailand again until Songkon. That'll give me 5 months to save up enough money for it.

It sounds like you booked directly through the airline.
That is a big mistake.
If you had gone thru a travel agent and there are plenty in Bahrain you would have paid half that amount and would have had more to spend in Thailand.

I fly Gulf Air through Bahrain on a regular basis and pay basicly the same as Mr. Machine. I paid a little over 50, 000 baht (low season) for my last business class round trip from DMM to BKK.
Suggest you start using travel agents and get those discounts.

It is a little cheaper if you buy the ticket in Bahrain compared to Saudi.
My travel plans have changed again but this time I will definitely be in Pattaya on the 8th of Jan for a week them to Oz and then back again for a week.
