TU: There are definitely many successful stories out there. Personally, I had and known a few that are very successful. It all depend upon what you define success and what is your expection of the girl. Money will buy you a GIG or Mia noi. However if you want mia luang (e.g. true love) then a whole new set of rule come into play.

Not looking for true love, but a nice Mia noi. With the friends I keep, I think I need to keep her in a cage for protection.

I think some of this is bull. I know many girls that have been sponsered. Only a couple kept working in the bar. Many becuase they were more bored in the bar than anywhere else. Once they have sponsers they were out to the movies, discos, watching tv, etc etc. A few of the girls sponsored still maintained some old customers. They no longer work bar but that doesn't keep them from working a high roller from the past. Making a few extra thousand baht for a few days. The rest of the girls were satified to be taken care of. ambition is not one of the trademarks of most bargirls.

Don't know about you CowBoy, but I've phucked plenty of BGs who said they weren't working to their Sponsor 
I'll admit having coaxed them into it at times, when they were extra Hot Hot Hot, but most times I just assumed they were standard BarFine material.
I know of only one BG at the moment who is keeping true to her lover/sponsor's wishes, and she's already falling dangerously close to breaking that promise...
Good for her that she's got the good sense to run when she sees me cumming to her bar.
But I've got a feeling I will have her again soon enough

yeah but the good ones are not hanging around the bars.... I have met both types, no different than if your girl was in the u.s.... if she goes out to the bars, she is in a posiiton to get herself in trouble, if she stays away form the scene, a much beeter chance of making it work...

I know of one success story here but it is really only because the girl did not want the "life" anymore. I tried to help her but she was bored and just wanted a normal job. She stopped taking money from me on her own accord, left BKK and found work in a factory. In her words, she said she was very happy and I believe her.
IMO, if they want to leave it then they will with or without sponsorship. But the boredom can be a killer if there isn't an outlet to channel their mental capabilities. And they really don't want to just go to english, german, dutch, norwegian or swahili classes. They want to be productive and stimulated (both ways).
