Not sure if it has been mentioned here before but Capitalone credit cards do not charge that foreign conversion fee.
That is probably your ATM daily limit of $300, you POS limit is probabaly much higher. That is what is used as a limit for cash advances.

ATL,, It wasn't that many years ago the Aus dollar was 50cents US,and 20 BAHT. I guess the ribbing I copped then has something to do with myenthusiasm for the falling USD now.
There is more pain to come for the green-back.
But as with most things there are cycles, who knows maybe 45BAHT in 4 years time.

But US corporate profits are soaring, stock prices are much higher, and unemployment rates are extremely low in the US. There is a connection of these things with the weaker dollar (which was artificially overvalued to begin with).
Perhaps you would prefer to live in Frogland where the Euro is sky high and people are rioting in the streets over jobs and economic issues.

Who gives a shit about offshore rates except currency traders? Certainly not most memebers of BTF who are mainly interested in how much their money will buy them in Thailand.

well we are are 5 odd years into the current weak dollar trend, historically speaking I reckon that puts it around an early twenties bg a few miles on the clock for sure, but still plenty of life left.
