Who needs a f***ing credit card ? Right them big mouth expat residents who don't have dow to f*** around. sorry to disagree G, i've got thai farmers account with atm and e banking for around 10 years. The've always been good to me, however when I had an account with BBL left 5000 in ther when I arrived the next visit it was closed, SORRY fallang.
there is an over use of the word f@@k in your post maybe you need a thesaurus.

GIEVALI, I don't think it is wise to make derogatory remarks about religious affiliations. I am sure that it is not allowed to make such remarks on this forum about Buddhists, and it should not be allowed about other religions.
I personally like Bangkok Bank for cashing my travelers checks because they have a computerized link to American Express, and it is less hassle than some other banks that need to make copies of your passport and TC's (which causes a delay since the copy machine is not near the bank tellers).
But for those farangs (especially Americans) who are having trouble setting up a Thai Bank Account, I would suggest Citibank of Thailand. It might help if you first set up a US Citibank account and then ask for one to be set up in Thailand.
Credit Cards should be no problem at Citibank, since that is their main business in Thailand (in addition to commercial banking). Citibank is not big in retail checking accounts in Thailand, but they will do them.

This thread is about banking/banks IN Thailand Mr Alan.
Happy to see u understand that by making verifiable to the point comments about some IMHO Jewish/Christian orientated overseas branch of a USA based bank that up to now can indeed legally operate in TH. No doubt that might change. Therefore and foremost becoz i'm totally disgusted that such a fascist Jewish/Christian orientated bank is financing IMHO very wrong wars I will not trust my money to it Mr Alan. For the rest MrAlan I personally don't give a f***ing shit about any religion.
