Putting the flags "First," "Second," "Third," etc., makes it clear to the reader when one is changing the discussion to another point. If one decides decides to use flags, then one should continue to do so for the sake or consistency at least. Otherwise it is implied that one is still in the same point. It is not me saying this, but those who know a lot more than me about proper writing.

Only one BG that I've known for a few years and have maintained contact with until recently would I loan serious money.Back in the US if I got email asking for up to 10K baht, I'd wire transfer it to her. If I was living in LOS, I might go up to 20K.
