It is definitely possible to live on 40-50 K a month. I used to get 40K + accommodation. Didn't save a baht, I just spent it all. Worked like hell. Used to go to MPs when I was a tourist, but was suprised that I didn't visit a single MP during the 1st year. I didn't bother with go-go bars, since there would be the barfines and initial drinks, instead, I only looked for freelancers. It was a lot of fun and it still is!

i gotta agree with u, that the freelancers are more fun!! made serveral trips to LOS last year and didnt had any soapies at all!

Kman, I stayed at Centrepoint on the river, behind shagrila and it is a nice spot, had a 1 bed apartment and the best thing was the direct connection into the shopping centre, All the cute little girls just a short walk away. My budget is around the 90k mark and I have found that the last 3 months I have spent over that by about 40k each month. But my excuse is xmas and then new years and this month I am stuffed if I know why I went over, but it may have something to do with the frequent girly visits.
