At today's exchange rate BT300,000 is a little more than USD 7,300 or GBP 4000 or EUR 6000. For most people this is a pretty good salary.
I was in London recently and most jobs were starting at 25 - 30K per month. Considering that a report released today places London as the world's 3rd most expensive city to live in I would say that one could live very well on BT300K per month (Assuming you had no obligations to pay at home).

Yep... I have a hard time understanding how people can even eat on an average salary in Paris, even worse in BKK. several of my mates there will tell U the same. Enough depends a lot on what U're looking for. Stop bothering high earners or wannabe high flyers with what the majority is making... if we took them as a model, we definetely wouldn't be there.

I am retired and get 350,000 USD a month. for someone like me who cannot type or spell is that enough to get by on and hire a person to do all my internet stuff. I live a great life in Japan and go o Thailand 3 times a year and to the Phillipines 2or 3 times but am thinking of relocating to Thailand
