hey there,
has anyone ever noticed that however much you plan your spending for your upcoming trip to thailand, you always seem to spend more on stupid little things that you can never expect. taxi's, eating, drinking etc
when from the start, I always plan my budget on what I will give the girls, I never (stupidly I suppose!) include all the little titbits that wear down your wallet durin your stay!
would anyone care to add their methods of baht planning and management for their nearing trips to thailand?

back when I worried about trivia like this, I had a budget of US$100 a day (didn't include the hotel or airfares)...
I would take out B2, 500 (from the lockbox) each day and when it was gone, I was done.. if I had some left over I spent it in the next day or so..
Today that would be more like B6000 day allowing for B40 to the US$ and inflation over the last 15 years.
It is easy and if you don't have the money available, you won't spend it.

I budget $100-$150 a day not including hotel or air. And as long as you guys buy me some beers, I'll be okay.

I budget 100 cash sterling a day, this does not allow for beers, LDs, BFs, Sts, LTs, massage's, meals, taxis, they are on top.
Flights, hotels and Edens are paid by CC and payments are settled later with the next pay cheque. This method works very well in keeping me in doors on my return home as I'm always skint!!!!!!!!!!!
When in BKK enjoy, remember there are no pockets in a shroud!!
If the oner runs out I just go back for more
