I'm an old Thailand but I will have a new experience. I will be in LOS from 1/31-2/8 with a budget of 1200b/day. I will be with my LTGF and have no interest in p4p or massages. Any recommendations of how to spend those days. We just want to relax and f_ck. I was thinking just hanging out in Koh San and seeing all the sights and just kicking back there.

1200baht/day in two.....not an easy task......unless, as you mention, man goes to khao san road and takes a bed in a guest house with common shower for 400/600 baht/day....so there are still 600 baht left for meals & beverages (water only)....and if you skip some meal, you could also enjoy a movie!

how can you afford your plane ticket, man?
if you're stuck on coming i'd suggest going to Pattaya, you can get a hotel room for like 275bht per night in a few places I believe... beers are only 55bht, buy water at 7-11, you got the beach, which is almost free.... you got things to do with your girl, statues to see...
but jeez man... 1200bht a day.... im sitting here waiting to buy tickets for my trip to Brazil until I can afford to spend $800 a day or else I'm not going to half-ass it...
