been looking at forbes 500 richest people
the PM was 421 on the 500 rich list for 2001-2
for 2002-3 hes dropped of the list completley
also noticed his best buddy (not)
the chicken man (dhanin chearavanont)
was 351 2001-2
and is still in the list for
2002-3 and has risen to 329
so being a great bussinessman means losing a couple hundred million here and there
so this is the vision he going give to the country
maybe thailand has the wrong CEO as prime minister ?

having a PM using a public persona as an efficient CEO
and his fortune taking a dive seems like a bit of a contridiction
not that its hard for him to make money bearing in mind until recently if you wanted a mobile in thailand it was effectively a monopoly being run by the pm's company

He is off the list because he transferred assets to his children. His 20something daughter and son are among the top 5 richest in Thailand-add them together and you have the T. household as the richest one in Thailand.

Of course, most of these 'rich' lists are based, apart from property and cash holdings, on the value of stocks.
The value of stocks fluctuates hourly, so in a couple of weeks your value could be much higher or lower...
