don't these guys ever stop.  i'm sick & tire of having my inbox cluttered with these p.o.s. putting them on spam list is useless, as they just use another email address from which to send. worse off, their emails are not even original. the storyline, sales pitch sucks. plus these guys are stupid/dumb-asses. I once, as a joke, replied back saying that I might take them up on their offer as my companions and I are in a quest for a ring and I signed off as frodo baggins. the martha fokkers replied back with "dear mr. frodo baggins..."!

Get a real email account with a spam-filter you can configure yourself. Not a block-list, but the real deal like SpamAssassin.

I like this! Most likely the guy will have no clue what you mean. But will then be scared to ask.
Now, I am trying to decipher it. But I am not sure I get what you mean. How can one get Bayesian on somebody else? I am inclined to assume that by getting bayesian on someone you mean explaining Bayesian statistical theory (named so after the reverend Thomas Bayes). Right? Or am I wrong?
Though if I am right, I am still not sure I understand what the relevance of explaining Bayesian analysis to these guys may have with them installing a spam-filter.

Damn! Must be good at that. Interesting. I wonder what parameters and weights are used -besides those that would seem obvious. Does it look at the text inside looking for clues from certain words? Any idea on it efficiency? What % of type I and II errors does it make?

Smegma, SpamAssassin publishes most of their stuff on the web. Easy to find.
But short answer is yes, it does read the text for keywords, any markup and the overall structure of the document, as well as the structure of the headers. It also looks at routing information, defective headers, known open relays, and not quite a million other things.
It's thorough right out of the box and with a little fine tuning, or the use of the auto-learn option, it's about 99% effective, with the errors about evenly distributed between spam getting through and good messages blocked.
No, I'm not a reseller. 
Hermanolobo, the best "scam" I ever saw was $9.99 for a 100% effective [when used according to directions] portable, unpowered, non-toxic insect control system.
It consisted of two small flat squares of wood, and the instructions said to put the bug on one square and smash it with the other before it ran or flew away.
