I was wondering whether there is any Siam,Ayudyha krun Banks within walking distance from the majestic grande??? To cash A/Express Travellers cheques

There is a TC booth with 2 tellers, facing Sukhumvit, on the sidewalk at, I believe, Soi 11 (just past a a large corner Indian tailor shop) that I use often. It has good exchange rates and is not bank-specific, however TC cashing facilities do NOT have to be bank-specific.
You can exchange American Express TCs at most check cashing/exchange booths. ANY bank that sells Am. Exp. TCs is required to exchange them with proper identification only. (Passports are considered required ID at most.) Some bank tellers mistakenly think that you have to have an account at that bank to cash them but the manager will quicky correct that misconception).
Most hotels will cash them but their exchange rates are poor and should be used in an emergency only.
Best rates on checks are given on those in denominations over $100. Banks & most exchange booths in major cities have no problem cashing one or two $500 TCs, but small exchange outlets in outlying areas may limit you to $100 a shot.
All booths & banks that I have used in Thailand charge a very small transaction fee which I have never had to pay in cashing them at any banks in the US, including those in which I do not have an account.
Perhaps TCs cashed at a branch of a specific bank in which you have an account will not charge that fee, but I would not know as all my TCs are brought into LOS from outside. They are the best worry-free investment of time that I spend before traveling.
As far as credit cards - I now use credit cards sparingly, and ONLY in bank ATMs and in major/reputable commercial places anywhere due to the increasing amount of credit card/identity theft. I have had my bank occasionally not authorize withdrawals specifically from Bangkok ATMs and commercial places, due to serious fraud/problems there - which has required a phone call to my bank to get authorization.
I realize this doesn't answer your question directly, but hope it is of help to others.
