After searching a lot, I didn't find good directions for those who are bringing Traveler's Cheques and want to trade them for cash.
I'm staying in Nana area, and I'm looking for an easy way to exchange my Traveler's Cheques (USD) for Baht.
I'd like to find a place where I can safely walk from my hotel (Dawin) and exchange like 500USD for Baht.

Round the corner at the Landmark hotel (sukomvit) they change travelers cheques /cash and they also have an ATM inside if you like that.
There is also one outside NP and a few others on the way from your hotel to NP (just past dynasty inn for instance ).
In other words relax dude and enjoy your trip.
Just stick all your valuables in the safe and DONT let any tg see the combination. If your staying at the Dawin its part of the dynasty chain they all have in room safes.
Believe me 10 yrs ago they did not its much safer and easier these days. Just open it when she is in the shower I dont even let my wife know the combination
let alone a bg I just met.

Any Bank or Bank Exchange booth will cash them. Just bring your passport. The exchange rate vary from banks, so check a few out.

1.00 USD = 31.7301 THB
What would be a good rate? 1USD for 30 THB?
And a poor rate?

Menethil,Super Rich today offer 31.75 Baht for 1 $US if 100$ bills are exchanged.Slightly lower rates are offered for lesser denominations.
I am uncertain whether Super Rich will accept Travellers cheques.
However,if you Google "Super Rich Thailand"you will locate their website and the means to contact them.

This one is near Pantip Plaza, which I'm planning to visit on my 2nd day.
Is it safe to walk from Pantip to SR? Are there robbers watching my withdraw so they'll follow me?
I can exchange my money first, so I'll ask if they take TCs as well

There are 4 money changer booths between your hotel, and Sukhumvit. I found the first one past the 7-11 on the right, as you head towards Sukhumvit had the best rates.
If you want to feel more secure, you can go up Sukhumvit on the even soi number side to the Kasikorn bank exchange. It is the small booth to the right of the main bank. The little green building.
They are all within 10 satang of each other, so it's no big deal which one you use, but if you can catch the Kasikorn bank one when she is on lunch break, then they will let you exchange inside the bank, the only time they will let you unless you have an account, and it is bt30 cheaper on the transaction fee. It is bt30 instead of bt60, plus the bt5 stamp tax.

Really.... a few weeks ago I got 1 SGD : 23.5 THB. Given that that the exchange rate in Singapore is 1 USD: 1.3 SGD for those passing through Singapore it might be better to change your USD to SGD at Changi and use those in BKK...
