It looks like we may have to get out of Korea quickly. We are having visa problems. It looks like we are going to be working in the UK at the end of October. However that leaves a month without a country. The cheapest place to live while cooling your heels is the LOS. We will probably try to work at an English school to at least pay for our stay and our plane tickets there.
My question is: Would an English school hire us off the street if we had all the right credentials? I would n't tell them it was just for a few weeks.
there are always adverts for native-english speaking teachers in the local english language daily. with your credentials i think that you will have no problem securing a teaching job right after you arrive LOS.
The is a huge range in quality and size of ESL schools. I know from hiring teachers to train in hotels that the quality and qualifications of the teachers are equally varied (as is thier rate of pay.)
What I'm getting at is you will almost certainly find work; whether it is at a school that is of the standard you would like or for pay that you are staisfied with, I can not say.
