If you are talking about changing to Thai baht, then the advise changes almost daily depending on which currency is the strongest.
Just recently Sterling was a good bet, but on balance US dollars would be my choice of the two currencies you mentioned.
I always have $100 in my wallet not matter were I travel, it has proven to be useful many times for getting my out of the shit!

The USD is alot like the English gold sovereign from the 19th century as Ady said; proven to be useful many times for getting me out of shit. I only carry USD in asia. Euro is king in europe. 6 days but whose counting

That depends where you are coming from....if you live with USD bring them....if you live with the Euro...bring them. Why pay commission on changing currency before you get here just to change again?

I much prefer stacks of USD in place of stacks of Euros. I guess I'm just old fashioned. The cotton paper is a little thicker as well so it's more likely to stop a bullet when you have wads of them strapped to your chest.

Thank you for your replies! I just wanted to know if when I get to change money in bath will the change rate be the official for either Usd or Euros or will Usd get a better value because more popular than Euros. I live in Italy, so Euro is my money. I will stay for 10 days. Thank you for your suggestions! D.
