We are of the topic just a little and I am the one to blame.

Well at least one slang dictionary (the first I checked) defines sandwich just as another term for 3-some, see http://www.slangsearch.com/s.html. However, I make the further distinction that both girls must be working on you at the same time (or you on them), to rule out the mundane cases where 3 people are in the same room and take turns. This also rules out the case you describe where the meat is placed on two pieces of bread (but you need to first define who is the meat and who is the bread!).
If "sandwich" literally requires a girl lying on top of a guy lying on top of a girl in perfect alignment, then not only is that too restrictive, it also doesn't sound like as much fun.  A better term for that might be two girl body-body massage.
